Lillie Jane Turner, a cherished soul, joined her Savior on Thursday January 10th, 2019 at the age of 76. Family hour for Lillie will be from 6-8:00 PM January 13th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A service in honor of her life will be at 10:00 AM Monday January 14th at Lillie’s home Church, the Durant Church of Christ (formally the 7th and Beech Church of Christ) in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Layne Heitz and Bro. Van Newton officiating. Lillie’s final resting place will be the Highland Cemetery with BJ Albright, Billy Albright, Stacey Fincher, Stephen Turner, Layne Billings, and Cody Buffalo as her pallbearers. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers Jeff Hamblin, and Dennis Meness.

Mrs. Turner was married to Curtis Ray Turner who preceded her in death. Lillie enjoyed her life, she always looked for ways to share the things she had learned with her cherished grandchildren. She loved working with her hands making beautiful quilts, sewing, crocheting, and cooking delicious meals for those she loved. Lillie always found time to be outside gardening, along with planting and caring for her flowers that drew the hummingbirds she enjoyed watching. She could often be found with her line in the water relishing the quiet solitude of fishing.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her: sons, David Turner and wife Debra of Durant, Oklahoma, Bobby Turner and wife Karla of Canadian, Oklahoma, Kenneth Turner and wife Cindy of Durant, Oklahoma, and Michael Turner and wife Tracy of Mead, Oklahoma: 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; sisters, Margaret Smith of Durant, Oklahoma and Ella Brown of Taft, California: Lillie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her: parents and husband, Curtis Ray Turner: sister, Francis Honeysuckle: and two nieces.

Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Friends and relatives are encouraged and invited to share condolences on our website www.holmescoffeymurray.com
