Martha Lou Sullivan, a resident of Sherman, Texas, passed on to the next life, on November10, 2016 at the age of 94. She was born in Madill, Oklahoma to Frederick Bismark and Cora Maud (Archerd) Jones on August 14, 1922.
Martha was a member of the 1st Christian Church in Durant. She retired from working for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier. Martha was a proud member of the Beta Sigma Phi.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her sons, James W. Brame of Denison, Texas and Joel L. Brame of Wildwood, Missouri; granddaughters, Cory McGuire of Newport Beach, California and Martha Lowery of Howe, Texas; great-granddaughters, Kendall McGuire and Olivia Lowery.
Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Maud Jones; husband, Billy D. Sullivan; brother, Fred Jones, Jr.; sisters, Maxine Pate, Elsie Lehman and Doris Long.
Family hour will be from 3-4:00 PM on Sunday, November 13th at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A church service will be at 10:00 AM Monday, November 14th at the 1st Christian Church with Dell McLain officiating. Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ted Kirkpatrick, Mark McMurray, Jon Livingston, Wayne Mauldin, Mike Rawls and Gary Hammel. Honorary pallbearer will be Joe Barker.
