Dale Sullivan passed away at the age of 81 years 6 months 8 days in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on Wednesday, December 18, 1929 in Clayton, Oklahoma to Elmer and Jessie (Steele) Sullivan. Dale married Joyce Jenkins on Friday, November 18, 1994 in Hugo, Oklahoma.
Mr. Sullivan was a member of the United Methodist faith. He had many interests. Dale enjoyed his ham radio, his computer, and photography. He retired from the ministry after 16 years with the Wesley United Methodist Church Hugo, Oklahoma and the Tuskahoma United Methodist Church.
Dale is survived by his wife, Joyce Sullivan, of the home; daughters, Sherry Saunders and husband David of Florida, Tamara Rubenstein of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Rene Harper and husband Tommy of Garland, Texas, Michelle Owens and husband Chris of Mustang, Oklahoma; sons, Randy Sullivan and wife Kim of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Michael Sullivan and wife Cathy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters, Ruth Stricker of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Vera Davies and husband Scott of St. Petersburg, Florida, Nell Rose Frizzell and husband Floyd of Dallas, Georgia; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, as well as many family and friends.
Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Jessie Sullivan.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel with Rev. Charles King officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be his family. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Salvation Army or the Victory Life building fund.
