Harold Gene Stilwell was born Sunday, July 23, 1933 in Blue, Oklahoma to Herman and Lena (Keeling) Stilwell. He passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 in Mead, Oklahoma. Harold married Glenna Howell on June 11, 1960 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Gene was a talented home builder and worked in construction most of his life. He dedicated many years to farming and enjoyed refurbishing old farm equipment.  His skill of repairing equipment came from his years as a mechanic. He was a car dealer for a time and was a member of the Mead Baptist Church.
Gene is survived by his sons, Larry Gene Stilwell of McKinney, Texas and Rickey Lee Stilwell of Mead, Oklahoma; daughters, Tammy Ruth Harman of Daytona Beach, Flordia and Gena Carol Belcher of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Roy Stilwell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters, Sue Robinson of Durant, Oklahoma, Retha Stilwell of Durant, Oklahoma, Pat Stilwell of Durant, Oklahoma and LaQuita Goude of Golden, Missouri; grandchildren; Larry Lynn Stilwell of Bethany, Oklahoma, Nathaniel Adam and Ariel Nichole Stilwell of McKinney, Texas, Rickey Gene Stilwell of Mead, Oklahoma, Brandon Stilwell of Durant, Oklahoma, Sarah Stilwell of Mead, Oklahoma, Nikki Lane Sterling of Edmond, Oklahoma, Cody Lane Gooding of Denver, Colorado, Lindsey Renea Griffith of Durant, Oklahoma and Ethan Blake Sheffield of Durant, Oklahoma; four greatgrandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Stillwell was preceded in death by his parents,  Herman and Lena Stilwell; wife, Glenna Stilwell; brothers, Bob Stilwell, Chuck Stilwell, Jimmy Stilwell; and grandson, Tony Blake Sheffield.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Mead Baptist Church, Mead Oklahoma with Rev. Kerry Groce officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Stilwell's grandsons.
