Evelyn Stilwell of Durant, Oklahoma passed away in Ardmore, Oklahoma on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the age of 86 years 5 months and 22 days. She was born in Rockwall, Texas on Thursday, December 10, 1925 to Mike C. and Bessie F. (Misenheimer) Greene. Evelyn Greene married Jenner M. Stilwell in Rockwall, Texas on Saturday, June 16, 1945.

Evelyn was a woman who dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma. Evelyn had many interests but especially enjoyed quilting, going to yard sales, cooking for her family and fishing.

Mrs. Stilwell is survived by her sons, Jerry Stilwell and wife Sherry of Ft. Worth, Texas and Lynn Stilwell and wife Linda of Kerrville, Texas; son-in-law, Dave Rickard of Overbrook, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Matt Orr and wife Tracy of Durant, Oklahoma, Dr. Whitney and Nick Fogle of Cedar Hill, Texas, Casey Orr and wife Krista of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Samantha ten-Brink and husband Samuel of Ft. Worth, Texas; great-grandson, Jenner Orr of Durant, Oklahoma; and other extended family members and friends.

Mrs. Stilwell was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Bessie Greene; husband, Jenner Stilwell; daughter, Brenda Rickard; granddaughter, Amanda Evelyn Stilwell; brothers and sisters, Mary Alice Greene, John Mark Greene, Mattie F. Greene, Mike C. Greene Jr., Lucille Greene, Fannie Mae Greene, Frances Greene and Frank Greene.

Family Hour will be from 6-7:00 P.M. on Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma with Bishop Kenneth Myers officiating.
