Homer Don Stallings was born to Mildred and Homer Stallings on February 7, 1932 in Bee, OK. Homer Don passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, December 13, 2019 at his home.

Homer Don considered himself “a citizen of the universe”. None of us really knew exactly what that meant, but as we all knew he was quite the philosopher. He graduated from Nida High School in 1950 and went on to OSU to acquire his degree in Agriculture Science. On January 23, 1955 he married his sweetheart, Marye Ruthe Jones of which the celebrated 64 wonderful years together. They had five children, Terry Dewayne, Vickie Diane, Barbara Gail, Bobby Don and James Paul. He was a member of Nida Baptist Church and was currently attending Milburn Baptist Church. Homer Don enjoyed ranching, showing cattle and horse racing. He also enjoyed his morning coffee with his friends at the Milburn Store, and visiting with his best friend, Earl. But most of all he loved his wife, children, his grands and great grands. In his eyes he felt he was the richest person in the world when it came to his family.

He is survived by his wife, Marye Ruthe Stallings of the home; daughters, Vickie Owens of Pauls Valley and Barbara Reed of Tishomingo; sons, Bobby Stallings and wife Debbie of Mannsville and James Paul Stallings of Tishomingo; sister, JoAnna Deviney of Garland, TX; grandchildren, Terri Jo and husband Kelly Herndon, Billie Jo and husband Anthony Lucy, Rodney and wife Stacey Martin, Jami and husband Dakota Cole, Mindy and husband Jonathon Northcutt, Laura and husband Josh Neal, Ashley Liston, Chelsie Stallings, Roxy and husband Tyler McGee, Bo Stallings, Austin Stallings and Karley Stallings; great grandchildren, Sophia and Samuel Sedeh, Ty, Ryan and Jaci Herndon, Jaci Jo Lucy, Tyler and Case Martin, Conner and Creek Cole, Cali and Cameron Northcutt, Brooks, Maks and Trae (Nubbin) Neal, Devin and Jaxson Brown and Tyson McGee; he also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
