William Edgar Smith, 75 of Atoka, OK passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in Durant, OK. He was born in Texarkana, AR on July 23, 1943 to Edgar Russell and Emma Irene (Spears) Smith.
William went on to get his Bachelors at Christian Life School of Theology. He also received his Ordination from the Independent Assembly and attended King’s Way Ministry School to learn to speak Spanish. . He loved fishing, being involved with his churches, and spending time with his grandkids.
William is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Patricia who passed away in December 2003.
William is survived by his son Jeff Smith and wife Shelley of Pottsboro, TX, daughters; Mary Pat Davis of Bokchito, OK, Amy Louise Smith of Sherman, TX, Jennifer Morris and husband Wendell of Caddo, OK, and Jerri Lynn McMurry and husband Mark of Durant, OK, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister Linda Inglis and husband Rogers of Little Elm, TX, and brother Robert Giles Smith of New Jersey.
Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Highland Cemetery with Bro David Kautt officiating. Condolences can be sent to www.brownsfuneralservice.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, OK.
