WANDA K. PRICE RUBACK, (1943-2020) age 77, departed this earth to her heavenly reward and eternal peace on September 4, 2020. Born May 10, 1943 in Kingston, Oklahoma, Wanda was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie and L.B. Price. She is survived by her husband John Ruback of Mannsville, Oklahoma; twin brother Kenneth Price and wife Charlotte of Geary, Oklahoma; sister Mary Price Chalk and husband Ralph of Mckinney, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members she adored. Wanda graduated from Durant High School in 1961. Shortly thereafter, she relocated to Dallas Texas where she began her career with the Creslenn Oil Company and subsequently, the Godwin & Carlton Law Firm. Wanda married John Ruback in 1992 and in 1998 she and John moved to Mannsville, Oklahoma where she worked at the Elmbrook Management Company in Ardmore, Oklahoma for several years and became a member of the Church of Christ in Mannsville. With an immense passion for animals, every stray found their “Forever Home” with Wanda who gave them a wonderful life full of love and comfort. All who love her dearly will never forget Wanda’s simplicity of living life. She always knew that the most important part of life was a loving heart and deep love for family and friends. Her positive spirit, joyful personality and infectious laugh was a testament to the wit, charm and grace she exhibited and bestowed on others. Although Wanda departed this earth to be with Jesus, her passing leaves a deep emptiness in our hearts. Wanda knew that Jesus knows us best as He is the Hope, the Light, the Strength and Comforter in the midst of pain and loss and he will carry us through this difficult time. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery Pavilion in Durant, Oklahoma. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, you can continue Wanda’s kindness, loyalty and compassion to animals by making donations to, or volunteering at your local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
