Funeral Services for Jackey J. Ross, III will be Monday, December 7, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Victory Life Church in Durant, OK. Bro. Duane Sheriff will officiate. Jackey was born Tuesday, May 15, 1984 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Jackey J. Ross, Jr. & Julie (Brewer) Ross. He passed from this life on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 25 years.
Jackey moved to Durant from Greensburg, Kansas in 1998. He graduated from Durant High School in 2003 then later attended Kiamichi Vo-Tech. He worked in general maintenance at Sherman, ISD. Jackey was a member of Victory Life Church. He enjoyed hunting, gun collections, and video games, especially with his mother.
Preceded in death by: Great Grandparents Survivors include: Mother: Julie Janine Ross, Durant; Brother: Joshua James Ross, Durant; Grandparents: Wanda & Jackey J. Ross, Sr., Salina, Kansas; Grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Jimmie Brewer, Kingston, Oklahoma; Uncle: Allen Ross, Salina, Kansas; Aunts: Carla Ramey, Kingston, Oklahoma; Linda Wolfe, Roanoke, Texas; Esther Kempton, Salina, Kansas; as well as 6 cousins.
Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Lanny David, Leroy Norris, Jack Accountius, Steve Allison, Ron Masterson, Randy Hamby, David Anderson, and Joshua Ross will be serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 5, 2009 from 5-7 P.M. at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home in Durant. Memorials can be made to Lone Star Lab Rescue: P.O. Box 2286 Coppell, Texas 75019. Condolences may be sent to the family at dhfh@communicomm.com.
