Clara Lee (Grant) Roper passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 in Durant, Ok at the age of 95. Clara was born on October 12, 1925 in Blue, OK to Marshall and Mary Inez (Bodine) Grant.

Clara attended school at Blue, Durant, and Nursing School. She married Rudolph Roper on May 11, 1946, in Durant. They were blessed with 66 years of marriage until Rudolph’s passing in September 2012. Clara was a member of Bokchito Church of Christ and she enjoyed cooking and gardening. Clara dearly loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.

Clara as preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Roper; parents Marshall and Mary Grant and daughter Patricia (Roper) Rickman.

Clara is survived by her sons Steve Roper and wife Patty and Mark Roper and wife Rene; grandchildren Scott Roper and wife Jenny, Brian Roper, Leo Roper and wife Kegan, Angelia Aguire and husband Chris, Sam Roper, Stephanie Roper, Chris Rickman, and Ameir Roper; great-grandchildren Seanna, Bailey, Benjamin, Natalia, Augustus, Madison, Ava, Amelia, Julian, Avery, Ava, Ian, Max, and Eli and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 26, 2021, at Bokchito Church of Christ. John Frank will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Jessie Roper, Scott Roper, Samuel Roper, Chris Rickman, Karl White, and Mark Roper serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
