Jolene Rochelle a lifetime resident of Durant, Oklahoma, a beloved wife and family member, passed from this life and joined her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the age of 74. She was born in Durant on January 21, 1942 to Eston B. and Avis (Smith) Buchanan. Jolene married her sweetheart Wendell Rochelle in Durant on January 30, 1960.
Jolene dedicated her life to caring for her home and family. She attended the 7th and Beech Church of Christ. Jolene loved her family dearly and cherished the times she was able to care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rochelle is survived by her husband, Wendell of the home; son, Randy Rochelle and wife Lesa of Durant, Oklahoma; sisters, Edna Buchanan Taylor, Joyce Cleveland and Marie Ricks; brother, Alvin Buchanan of Durant, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rochelle was preceded in death by her parents, E.B. and Avis Buchanan; daughter, Rhonda Estep; three sisters; six brothers; and one great-grandchild.
A gathering for family and friends will be from 7-8:00 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 20, 2016, at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Bro. Dennis Pena officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery with family and friends gathering at the Pavilion. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Estep, Chad Rochelle, Bruce Rochelle, Mike Estep, Nathan Hart and Adam Cole.
