Minnie Elliot "Nelson" Reynolds

Minnie Elliot Reynolds passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years 4 months 7 days. She was born on Wednesday, April 3, 1918 in Montgomery County, Arkansas to Henry and Sarah (Thomas) Nelson. Minnie married John Reynolds in 1946.

Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the Mead Baptist Church. She graduated from the Durant High School in 1935. Minnie was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and she was owner of the Minnie Reynold's Accounting Office.

She is survived by her sisters, Odessa McKinney of Durant,Oklahoma and Gladys Hay of British Columbia, Canada and numerous nieces and nephews.

Minnie is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sarah Nelson; husband, John H. Reynolds; four sisters, three brothers and an infant son.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 13, 2011, at the Mead Baptist Church, Mead, Oklahoma with Rev. Kerry Groce and Rev. Dewey Shaffer officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Nelson McKinney, Hank McKinney, Aaron McKinney, Alan Smith, Brian Smith and Wade Reinhardt. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Rowland, Dudley Rowland, Bradley Rowland, Calvin Rowland, Johnny Rowland, Dickie Kidd and John Weder.

The family suggests memorials to the Mead Baptist Church and the Durant First United Methodist Church building fund.
