Debbie Reynolds, a resident of Denison, Texas, left her mortal body on Saturday February 27, 2021 at the age of 65. She was born in Durant, OK to Orville Reynolds, Sr., and Cora (Harkey) Reynolds on June 2, 1955. Debbie married her best friend Phillip Putman in Durant, OK on December 10, 2011.
A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday March 3, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, OK with Jon Hazell officiating. Family and friends will be gathering from 1-2:00 before the service at the church. Her final earthly resting place will be the Highland Cemetery in Durant with Corey Putman, Chad Skipworth, Hayden Baker, Timothy Pickens, Mike Harkey, and Shawn Jackson as her pallbearers, her honorary pallbearers will be Benjamin Barrett Washburn, Blevins West Washburn, Baylon Byers Washburn, Mike Putman, and Dale Putman. The service will be available to view via live stream on the funeral home Facebook page.
Debbie was known for her compassionate and loving heart. All her grandchildren adored their “Grandy”. She enjoyed her pets, rescuing animals, caring for her yard and flowers. Debbie was passionate about taking cruises and drinking her Mountain Dew.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Phillip Putman of the home, mother, Cora Reynolds of Durant, OK, children, Ericka Reynolds-McCray and husband Orlando of Durant, OK, Kristen Washburn and husband Ben of Denison, TX, stepchildren, Corey Putman and wife Angel of Sherman, TX, Tracy Douglas and husband Josh of Broken Arrow, OK, Tricia Skipworth and husband Chad of Bells, TX, siblings, Orville Reynolds, Jr. and wife Tammy of Durant, OK, Dewey Reynolds and wife Jeanie of Durant, OK, Randy Reynolds and wife Tammy of Colbert, OK, Mary Pickens and husband Kent of Durant, OK, brothers-in-law, Dale Putman and wife Janet of Denison, TX, Mike Putman and wife Vickie of Denison, TX, grandsons, Barrett, Blevins, and Baylon Washburn of Denison, TX, ten step-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Orville Reynolds, Sr., her “special aunt,” Kathryn Shelly, and sister-in-law, Shelly Reynolds.
