Cora Reynolds of Durant passed peacefully from this life on September 29, 2022. She was born November 11, 1928, in Denison, Texas to John and Lillian (Andrew) Harkey.
Cora was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She took care of her home and her family throughout her life. She had many interests including sewing, gardening, traveling, yard sales, and canning; but she most enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons Orville Reynolds, Jr. and wife Tammy, Dewey Reynolds and wife Jeanie, and Randy Reynolds and wife Tammy, as well as her daughters Mary Pickens and husband Kent and Ericka Reynolds McCray and husband Orlando. She is also survived by her brother Ray Harkey. Her legacy lives on with her 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Lillian Harkey, husband Orville Reynolds, Sr., daughter Debbie Reynolds, daughter-in-law Shelly Reynolds, and her three sisters and a brother.
Family hour of visitation is set for Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Daryl Bunch officiating. Cora will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Durant following the funeral service.
Those serving as pallbearers are Wesley Reynolds, Michael Harkey, Timothy Pickens, Chris Pickens, Luis Lopez, and Brian Lopez. Justin Reynolds and Colton Cole will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma, or to your favorite charity.
