Cody Joe Odom

Cody Joe Odom passed away at home on February 8, 2024, in his hometown of Durant, Oklahoma. He was born on July 31, 1980, in the same close-knit community, to David Odom and Katherine (Bourne) Odom Crowley.

His legacy lives on through his devoted wife, Sarah, and their four cherished children, Jessica, Kinsley, Judd, and Tate. He is also survived by his siblings Heather Chloupek, Dana Hagans, JD Crowley and his wife Alison, Steven Potts and his wife Amy, Tamara Ogden, and Joey Hobbs and his wife Sheila. Also, his stepmother, Deborah Odom, and parents-in-law, Rod and Elia Reyes, along with sisters-in-law Amy Ramos and her husband Ruben, and Stephanie Makke and her husband Richard, will forever hold Cody's memory in their hearts, as well as his numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Cody in death are his parents David Odom and Kathy Crowley.

Cody was a respected Team Lead at Oklahoma Natural Gas, where his leadership and dedication were evident to all who worked alongside him. His love for the great outdoors was a defining aspect of his life. He found solace and joy in nature, whether he was camping under the stars, hunting in the early morning light, or fishing in the tranquil waters of Oklahoma's lakes and rivers. His passion for the outdoors was a gift he shared with his family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Cody also enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. Those who had the pleasure of enjoying a meal prepared by Cody will fondly remember the care and love he poured into every dish.

His family will receive friends at his Family Hour on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held to honor Cody's life at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Jonathan Anguiano officiating. Cody will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery following his funeral service.

Those serving as pallbearers are Matt Manhard, Randy Robison, Shawn Odom, Kent Moore, Gary Simpson, Jason Airington, Randy Blackshear, and Kasey Robinson. Richard Makke and Ruben Ramos will serve as honorary pallbearers.
