Dorothy Mae Morgan, a precious soul, left this life in Durant, Oklahoma on September 29, 2019 at the age of 95. She was the beloved daughter of Albert Otto Geyer and Della Leona (Davis) Geyer born in Waco, Texas, October 30, 1923. Dorothy married her one true love Richard A. Morgan in Marlin, Texas on December 2, 1945.
Dorothy was the assistant administrator for the Kings, Daughter and Sons Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church and Sunday School teacher. Dorothy enjoyed porcelain dolls, oil painting, cake decorating, and quilting.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by her cherished family; children, Marilyn Birdsong and husband Mike of Caddo, Oklahoma and son, Richard Morgan and wife Barbara of Paris, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Birdsong and wife Julie of Idabel, Oklahoma, Gregory Birdsong and wife Diane of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Miranda Turner and husband Rusty of Whitewright, Texas, and Deanna Campbell and husband Josh of Ector, Texas; great-grandchildren, AJ Birdsong, Ryne Birdsong, Jack Birdsong, Autumn Campbell, Aubrey Campbell, Annsley Campbell, Bridger Campbell, Bailor Campbell, Rhett Turner, Georgia Claire Turner, Ramey Turner, Madisyn Bolton, Parker Bolton, Bailey Bolton, and Brandon Bolton; she is also survived by her sister, Betty Westbrook and husband Pat of Austin, Texas and their daughter Stephanie, Rabat.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Della Geyer, her husband, Richard A. Morgan and brothers, William Earl, Robert and Frank.
A private family burial at the Highland Cemetery in Durant was performed on October 3, 2019.
Dorothy’s family would like to thank the staff of Featherstone Assisted Living and Guardian Hospice for their compassion care. A special thank you goes to Rachel from Featherstone and Denise of Guardian for their tender care.
