Mike McCollum, a beloved and cherished family member passed from this life too soon at his home in Calera, Oklahoma on Tuesday April 9th, 2019 at the age of 61. He married the love of his life Janet in Calera, Oklahoma on July 31, 1976. A service in honor of his life will be at 10:00 AM Friday April 12th at the Durant Church of Christ with Travis Huffman officiating. His final resting place will be the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma with Tayo Ajayi, John Coley, Bradly Dollar, Christopher Adams, Drew Adams, and Jarret Wilson as his pallbearers.

Mike was a faithful lifetime member of the Calera Church of Christ. He had a strong work ethic and was employed by Alcoa for 17 years and the Sign Warehouse for 17 years. Mike enjoyed his quiet time fishing and traveling to new places with his family. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and he loved spending time with family.

Mike leaves behind his wife, Janet of the home: his much loved children, Brooke Coley and husband John of Durant, Oklahoma, and Erica Ajayi and husband Tayo of Yukon, Oklahoma: grandchildren, Gavin and Blake Coley of Durant, Oklahoma: mother, Barbara McCollum of Calera, Oklahoma: sister, Cheryl Childers of Topeka, Kansas: sister-in-law, Linda Cargal of Carrollton, Texas: brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Mary Jones of Calera, Oklahoma: he was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Don McCollum: grandparents, Woodrow Moody and wife Pauline and Chester Job: brothers-in-law, Steve Robinson and Glenn Cargal: and in-laws, Bud and Ruth Robinson.

The family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Calera Church of Christ, PO Box 413, Calera, Oklahoma 74730.
