Aldon Floyd Maupin was born on October 22, 1927 to William and Pearl (Lewis) Maupin. Aldon passed away on August 7, 2020 at his home at the age of 92.
Aldon married Billie Mae Ainsworth on November 27, 1948 in Denison, Texas and they were united as one for 63 years until Billie’s passing on June 23, 2012. Aldon worked and retired from Bryan County Dist. #1. Aldon enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outside in his yard, hummingbirds and was a practical jokester. Aldon dearly loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.
Aldon was preceded in death by his wife Billie Maupin; parents; son Aldon Eugene; daughters Patricia Kay and Margaret Ruth; grandson Jeremy Floyd Howell and seven siblings.
Aldon is survived by his daughters Carolyn Beshirs and husband Geary and Michaelle Thompson; adopted daughter Lisa Laymon; grandchildren Robert Shane, James Alton, Geary Wayne, Lacey Ann, Aaron Van and Lyncara Ana; great grandchildren Ashley Elaine, Alton Ryan, Randen Gibson, Shaley Gibson, Kaden Gibson, Kelly Gibson ll Angelina Thompson and Rowdy Thompson; great great grandchildren K’Lei Dawn Ford, Ryan Legacy Dooney and Rigdon Wayne Wylie; brother Donald Maupin and numerous extended family and friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 10, 2020 at Highland Cemetery Pavilion with Chaplain David Kautt officiating. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6-7 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsuneralservice.com.
