William Louis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, left this earthly life in Durant, Oklahoma on January 30, 2021 at the age of 77. He was born in Glover, Oklahoma to William J. Louis and Pearley Mae (Franklin) Louis on January 19, 1944.
Family hour will be from 7-8:00 PM on Thursday February 4th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma the family has requested that everyone who attends wear a mask and practice social distancing. A celebration of his life will be on Friday February 5th at the Victory Life Church in Durant with Pastor Lee Armstrong officiating (this is a private family service). His final resting place will be at the Highland Cemetery with Rodney Johnson, PJ Silvas, Brandon Beller, Lance Beller, Caleb Louis, and Micah Louis as his pallbearers. The service will be live streamed on the funeral home website at 10:00 AM.
William cherished his family. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. He always enjoyed old country music and watching westerns. William liked to stay active playing fast pitch softball with the Dallas Hustlers and playing a good game of tennis. He was employed at the Choctaw Casino. William was a loving father to his two children and will be missed by all who loved him.
Mr. Louis is survived by his wife Abbie Johnson of the home, children, Devonda Silvas of Mesquite, Texas, and Rodney Johnson of Duncanville, Texas, grandchildren, Priscilla Silvas of Duncanville, Texas and Taylor and PJ Silvas of Mesquite, Texas, great-grandchild, Angel Morales, Jr. of Mesquite, Texas, siblings, Dorothy Beller of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Lillian Louis of Dallas, Texas, Ray Louis of Durant, Oklahoma, nieces, Terry Louis of Durant, Oklahoma, Shelly Louis of Calera, Oklahoma and Kelli Louis of Durant, Oklahoma, nephews, Duane and Daryl Davis of Balch Springs, Texas, Brandon Beller of Durant, Oklahoma, Lance Beller of Watts, Oklahoma, Micah Louis of Durant, Oklahoma, and Alvin Davis of Ft. Worth, Texas, numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Mr. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Benjamin Franklin, Mary Davis, BC Louis, Nelson Louis, Jesse Louis and nephew, Jeremy Louis.
