Services to celebrate the life of Anna Bess Williams Karns, 92, of Kingston, who passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at her home, will be held Tuesday, December 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Chaplain James Stewart of the Baptist Village Community will officiate.
Anna Bess was born August 24, 1916, in Durant to James Walter and Lena Jackson Williams.
She married Lawrence Karns June 15, 1949, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and they moved back to this area in 1998 from Oklahoma City.
Anna Bess was of the Baptist Faith and she enjoyed the outdoors and outdoor activities. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Walter and Lena Williams; daughter, Anita Boehme; brother, Eddie Williams and sister, Flodell Providence.
Anna is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Lawrence Karns of the home; children, Roger Karns and wife Jeanne of Edmond, Danny Pair of Billingham, Washington, Billy Pair of Miami, Oklahoma, Jerry Don Pair and wife Susie of Kansas, Oklahoma, John Edward Pair and wife Bertha Jo of Grove and daughter, Kay Nelson and husband Kerry of Gentry, Arkansas; sister, Ruth Kitchens of Durant; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of dear and loved friends.
Interment will be in Highland Cemetery with Dennis Boehme, Robert Boehme, Shawn Boehme and Phillip Boehme serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
