Daryl Glenn Hyde

Daryl Glenn Hyde passed away on January 20, 2021 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 66. He was born on January 18, 1955 to Clifton “Pete” Hyde and Annie Bell Owens. He was baptized in Clear Boggy River around Caney, Oklahoma on Sunday July 21, 1968 by Rev. Bob Johnson of the Caddo Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Daryl was an outdoorsman through and through, his favorite activities were hunting and fishing, and just being outdoors. He had a very caring heart; he lived with and took care of his Momma for many years before her passing. He was also an aerospace welder for most of his life, until he retired. Daryl loved music and played many instruments, and really enjoyed playing music with his brother, Dennis.

Daryl is survived by his daughter Wynona Hyde of Calera, Oklahoma. Three granddaughters Amber Burns of Calera, Oklahoma, Amanda Burns of Calera, Oklahoma, and Audrey Burns of Achille, Oklahoma. Three great-grandsons Maximus Burns, Lorenzo Reyes, and Niko Burns. Four great-granddaughters Alicen Phillips, Nina Sears, London Edelen, and Araya Burns. Daryl is also survived by four brothers Doug Hyde and wife Wanda of Mead, Oklahoma, Donnie Hyde, Sr. and wife Sue of Roberta, Oklahoma, Dennis Hyde of Durant, Oklahoma, and Dale Owens and wife Donna of Durant, Oklahoma. Daryl also leaves behind a sister Regina Bryant of Durant, Oklahoma, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Daryl was preceded in death by his father Pete Hyde, mother Annie Bell, and stepfather Ray Owens.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10am at the Highland Cemetery pavilion in Durant, Oklahoma where interment will follow.
