Olee (Stilwell) Gore a humble servant of God experienced a victorious home going when she passed from this earthly life in Durant, Oklahoma on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the age of 89 years 1 month and 4 days. She was born in Celina, Texas to John Henry and Mary Maud (Reppond) Stillwell on Sunday, September 23, 1923. Olee Stilwell married Owen Gore in Durant, Oklahoma in 1981.
Olee was a devoted mother with a strong Christian faith who loved her Lord. In her youth she was on the Blue High School Basketball team. She was a faithful member of the Abundant Life Church in Durant, Oklahoma. She owned and operated Olee's Beauty Shop in Durant, Oklahoma for many years. Olee enjoyed nature and loved to go camping and fishing. She like to sew for her family and tend to her garden. Olee cherished the time she spent with her family considering them the greatest blessing of her life.
Mrs. Gore is survived by her husband, Owen Gore of the home; son, Don Day and wife Rena of Mead, Oklahoma; grandson, Jared Day of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Kara Day of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Lillie Teel of Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Gore was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Stilwell; sisters, Val Marie Stilwell and Oda Mae McCarley; brothers, Herman and Arthur Stilwell.
A Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Highland Cemetery with Rev. Ann Lewis officiating.
