Margaret G. Flowers a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this earthly life into the next on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the age of 101. She was born on November 10, 1913 in Gate, Oklahoma to Mark Leroy and Lula Virginia (Murphy) Green. Margaret married Floyd H. Flowers in 1955.

Margaret was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church. She retired from the State of Oklahoma as an Assistant Administrator after 37 years of service. Margaret loved to entertain her family and reading good books. Margaret was a classy lady from her fashion sense to her beautiful hand written letters. She made an impression on everyone she met. So many lessons have been taught by this wonderful and positive lady.

Mrs. Flowers is survived by her son, Floyd C. Flowers and wife Shirley of Kingston, Oklahoma; daughter, Kaye Hunter of Irving, Texas; grandchildren, Ricky Hamilton and wife Stephanie, Debbie Hamilton, Frankie Hamilton, Neal Flowers and wife Mary Lou, Vicki Glasco and husband Tom, Mike Hunter and Sandra Petty; great-grandchildren, Rodrick Neher, Bradley Neher, Wade Petty, Niki Endicott, Amber Navarrette, Lincoln Hamilton, Neal Flowers, Jr., Shane Flowers, Todd Flowers, Tia Flowers, Caroline Hamilton, Mason Hamilton and Ford Hamilton; and numerous great-great grandchildren; great-niece, Christie Kirchner and husband Kirt and their children Kash and Kanon; brother-in-law, James Flowers and wife Francis.

Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd H. Flowers; daughter, Dorothy Hamilton; sister, Virginia Howry; and nephew, J.C. Howry.

A Church service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the 1st Methodist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Rev. John Breon officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tom Glasco, Neal Flowers, Jr., Anthony Williams, Brad Neher, Rodrick Neher and Ricki Hamilton.
