Graveside services for Wilma Janet "Mickey" Mayfield Ewing, 83, and lifelong resident of Bryan County who passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2008, in Durant, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Highland Cemetery Chapel.
Mickey was born October 12, 1924, in Bryan County to Clovis and Lena Mayfield.
She attended and graduated from Achille Public Schools.
She married A.E. Ewing Jr. on October 5, 1946, in Sherman, Texas.
She was the owner of Mickey"s Cosmetics and Gifts, a member of the Lady"s Elks Club and a member of the United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and decorating. Mickey will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Loyce, Fabert, Carlton and Raymond Mayfield and sisters, Ruby Cowley, Hiness Ladd, Ruth Winnett and Clovis Thompson.
Mickey is survived by her children, Steve Ewing and wife Connie of Rowlett, Texas, and Toni Doake and husband Kenneth of Oklahoma City; grandson, Steven Ewing and wife Delmy; granddaughter, Julie Proctor and husband Josh; great-grandchildren, Brendan and Sophia Ewing and Kason and Kyler Procter; brother, Charles Lindberg Mayfield; pets, Fergie, Pokey and Lana; and other relatives and a host of dear and loved friends.
Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
