Durant, OK- Etta Faye (Noblett) Elliott was born Wednesday, September 10th, 1941 in rural Hughes County, Oklahoma to Mennis Miller Noblett and Olive Fay (Ballard) Noblett. She entered the presence of our Lord on Friday, January 7th, 2022 from Denison, Texas at the age of 80.
Etta married Laurence Elliott on May 25th, 1979 in Durant, Oklahoma. He precedes her in death on September 20th, 2021. Etta worked as a nurse for over fifty years and was employed with Lee Family Clinic which was later called University Medical Group. Her passion was helping and caring for patients during a time of illness.
Etta was very involved with the Texoma Sam’s Camping Club, being with her friends and going to their camp gatherings. Etta loved her time spending with her special friends for coffee and having lunch with them. She also enjoyed reading, traveling and sitting in the sun.
Etta was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a sister, Pat Muchmore.
She is survived by her children, Debra Olsen and husband, Bob, of Ardmore, OK, Mike May and wife, Cindy, of Farmington, NM, David May and wife, Kristi, of Ardmore, OK, Steven Elliott and wife, Stephanie, of Poteau, OK, and Larry Dean Elliott of Texas; brothers, Kenny Noblett and wife, Jackie, of Orlando, FL, and Bob Noblett and wife, Roleta, of Blackwell, OK; a sister, Sherry Noblett Brand and husband, Phillip, of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, Jan. 12th, at the Highland Cemetery chapel in Durant with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating.
