Dustin (Dusty) Heath Edelen (34) The life of Dustin (Dusty) Heath Edelen, 34, will be celebrated on Monday, September 14, 2009, by family and friends who love and miss him. Dusty was born on July 25, 1975, in Denison, Texas, and resided in Durant for the majority of his life. His journey home began September 7, 2009.
Dusty’s love for hunting, fishing and sports came second to his love for god, family and friends. His two precious daughters, Macy and Allie were his life’s joys. As a young man, dusty was an avid wrestler, beginning at 4 years old and proudly wrestled for DHS's first wrestling team. He also played football, baseball and coached little league sports. His many ribbons, medals, and trophies are representative of his success. His beautiful mounts are also indicative of his love for fishing and hunting.
Dusty leaves behind his parents, Linda and Eddie Edelen of Port Arthur, Texas, daughters Macy and Allie, his brother, Michael (mike) Edelen and sister, Alicia Edelen (sis) as well as his “little brother”, Trevor Edelen, grandmother, ruby Horton as well as a wealth of family and friends who love him.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ola Mae and O.B. Edelen, Lone Grove and Charles Horton, Durant.
