Durant memorial services for A.A. “Pete” Earles, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Abundant Life Texoma Church, Durant, Oklahoma, followed by a reception at Durant Elks Lodge. He was born to parents, Willie and Ola Mae Mennick Earles, in Seminole, Oklahoma on September 24, 1924.

A A was a member of the Abundant Life Temple in Durant since 1961, where he served as Deacon. AA previously owned several businesses in Oklahoma and Texas. He operated and owned Oklahoma Vegetable Oil Company for many years and was also a rancher and oilman. Pete married Patsy Ann Mason on February, 22,1947, in Seminole, Oklahoma. After her passing, he married LaVanda Reece on February 6, 2006 in Durant, Oklahoma.

Mr. Earles is survived by his wife, LaVanda Earles of the home, daughter, Sharolyn Grider and husband Tommy of Durant, Oklahoma; sons, Mark Earles and wife Regina of Denison,Texas, Jeffery Earles, and wife Jamie of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Joseph Earles and Joy Spencer of Durant, Oklahoma, Matthew Earles, and wife Barbara of Durant ,Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jason Grider , Chris Earles, and wife Misty Troxtell, Josh Grider , Jason Earles, and wife LaDonna , Jennifer Marsh , Matthew Earles, and wife Bobbie , Evan Earles and Brittni, Mason Earles, and wife Emily Schlickman, Aren Earles, Amelia Farris , Jonathan Biggs; great grandchildren, Garrett and Ashton Earles , Clara and Daniel Marsh , Jaron Grider , Steven Trude, Alec Grider, Cameron Earles, Jacob Earles, Kayla and Elizabeth Earles, Landry and Lucas.

Also survived by Gary Phelps, and wife Cheryl, and numerous nieces , nephews , a host of friends and special care givers Shelia Herrin, Taylor Robinson, Carla Fox, and Michelle Hartigan.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ola Earles, his first wife Patsy Earles, September 10, 2005, brothers, James and Harold Earles; sisters Frances Emmett and Thelma Roberts.

Officiating are Reverend Roger McCoy and Reverend Mike Roberts. Family hour will be Monday, May 30, 2016 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Durant with Josh Grider, Evan Earles, Chris Earles, Jason Earles, Matthew Earles and Mason Earles serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Grider, Jonathan Biggs , Aren Earles, Ronnie Slaten, Randy Sullivan, Denny Houx, and Phillip Faulk.
