O. B. Draper, a proud veteran of the United States Army, beloved father, and grandfather passed from this life in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday February 16th, 2018 at the age of 83. He was born to Ora Blaine Draper and Dessie (Stonebarger) Draper on April 24th, 1934 in Caddo, Oklahoma.
O. B. cared deeply for his fellow veterans and made himself available to help anyone in need. He enjoyed a good book, and spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Mr. Draper is survived by his sons, Michael B. Draper and wife Helen of Van Buren, Arkansas and Mark A. Draper of Durant, Oklahoma; sister, Ruth Meadville of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Jason Moss and wife Linzi of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Stacey Huffines and husband John of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Kyle Draper of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Brittney Draper-Knox and husband Nick of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; also survived by great-grandchild Oliver Draper-Knox of Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Mr. Draper was preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Dessie Draper; sisters, Helen Powell and Bettie Owens; daughter, Mischelle Moss; and grandson, Jospeh Blaine Draper.
Family hour will be from 1:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday February 20th at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma before the service. The chapel service will begin at 2:00 PM with Bro. Daryl Bunch Officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Duwayne Wingfield, David Magby, Jason Wingfield, Shawn Hall, and James Pettit.
