Elsworth Willard Delozier

Elsworth Willard Delozier of Durant, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 89. He was born on March 23, 1936, in Boswell, Oklahoma to Willard and Mary Rosebud Idabel (Airington) Delozier. He married the love of his life, Carol Vita Clark in 1959, in Chicago Illinois.

When Elsworth was 17, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served 4 years from 1955-1958 and fought in the Vietnam War. Some of his hobbies included welding, yard work and gardening. He was a truck driver in his later years and was a great mechanic that could fix just about anything. He loved the outdoors and loved being able to work on different projects.

Those left behind to cherish Elsworth’s memory are his son Victor Lee Delozier of Durant, Oklahoma, his son David Elsworth Delozier of Durant, Oklahoma, his brother Gary Don Delozier and his wife Ona Faye of Durant, Oklahoma. His grandchildren include Crystal Morris and Marlo Henderson, Roy & Angie Nelson, Donnesa Nelson & Don Cheadle, Ashlyn Clure, Ryan & Ashley Delozier, Victoria & Vincent Bryant, Tara & Brandon Lane, Kooper Delozier & Patience Alexander, Derik & Kristina Delozier, Destinee & Cody Tyree, Dylan Delozier. Great grandchildren include Devin, Keandre, Kathryn, James, Marlee, Noah, Remington, Kieon Jr, Tessa, Sylis, Elysia, Atlas, Blayze, Bennett, Curvin, Raydin, Kamryn, Kaylee, and one great-great grandchild, Kamari Morris.

Preceding Elsworth in death are his grandparents Rufus and Lilly Airington, his parents Mary and Willard Delozier, his brothers Jimmy Delozier and Paul Delozier, sister Virginia Dollar, his wife Carol Delozier, and his daughter Kathryn Nelson.

Family hour will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home at 121 N 5th Ave., Durant, Oklahoma 74701. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Victor Delozier, David Delozier, Keandre Morris, Devin Morris, Ryan Delozier, Kooper Delozier, Derik Delozier, and Roy Nelson.
