Services were at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church for Terry Gene Crossland , 60, Durant, who died Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at his residence. Bro. Darel Bunch officiated.
He was born Friday, June 14, 1946, in Durant to Herbert Wilson Crossland and Mary Ellen Tigert.
He was raised in Durant but moved away for many years before coming back in 1995. He worked at Albertson's for several years serving as assistant manager.
He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and of Calvary Baptist Church.
He enjoyed riding and traveling on motorcycles, working puzzles and taking pictures.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1996.
He is survived by his sons, Chris Crossland and wife Bonnie of Nowata, Don Crossland and wife Chrissy of Broomfield, Colorado, mother, Mary Crossland of Durant; brothers, Paul Crossland and wife Carolyn of South Carolina, Bert Crossland and wife Margaret of Durant, David Crossland of Oklahoma City; sister, Janice Hayes and husband David of Durant; grandchildren, Adam Crossland, Courtney Crossland, Morgan Crossland and Laura Crossland; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Burial was in Highland Cemetery with Lane Gooding, Sam Goodman, Delbert Gray, Sid Wheeler, James Abernathy and Joe Nichols serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the Christian Motorcycle Association and Emmanuel Riders No. 546, Madill.
