Melvin Claud Craig age 79, of Caddo, Oklahoma passed away at his home on October 22, 2024. Melvin was born on May 20, 1945, in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Alvin and Bobbie (Cordell) Craig. Melvin graduated from Seminole High School and East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. He married his true love, Alice Neta Bullard on August 10, 1985. They were united as one for 38 years until Alice's passing on May 23, 2024. Melvin retired as a pipeline supervisor after 40 plus years of service with several different companies and he loved going on fishing trips with "Unkie" Hugh Cordell, cheering on the OU Sooners, and working on his land and cabins. Melvin had a deep love for his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them.
Melvin is preceded in death by his wife Alice Neta Craig; parents Alvin and Bobbie Craig; sister Pam Burton; great granddaughter Abilene Reimer and niece Jacey Spakes.
Melvin is survived by his children Stacy McDonald and husband David of Hodgen, OK, Kristen Hart and husband Brian of Bokchito, OK, Jeana Coburn and husband Mike of Calera, OK, Ty Craig and wife Jannifer of Hunter, OK, Alissa Andrews and husband Todd of Calera, OK, Travis Craig and wife Erica of Schertz, TX, and Tami Buss and husband David of Enid, OK; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services to celebrate Melvin's life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2024, at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Joshua McDonald, Alex Hart, Wyatt Andrews, Michael McDonald, Ty Michael Craig, Kaden Craig, Dillon Clark, and Austin Reimer serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday from 10 AM - 12:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
