Lucy R. Cooper, 91 of Mead, Oklahoma passed from this earth in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday December 23, 2016. She was born on April 19, 1925 in Durant, Oklahoma to Hu G. and Loma (Renegar) Bond. Lucy married William Wade Cooper in Durant, Oklahoma on June 1, 1941.
Lucy lovingly cared for her home and family. She use to work for the DeLeon Peanut Company in Durant. Lucy was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her son, Bill Allen Cooper of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughters, Linda Moseley of Wolf City, Texas, Sandy Larose of Mead, Oklahoma and Cathy Wilson of Pottsboro, Texas; sister, Rose Brese of Owasso, Oklahoma; brother, Buddy Bond of Durant, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
,p>Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents, Hu and Loma Bond; husband, William Wade Cooper; one granddaughter; one sister; and three brothers.A chapel service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday December 28, 2016 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant Oklahoma with Gerald Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Hurst, Corey Cooper, Howard Li, D.J. Henderson, Allen Serner and Gregg Cross.
