Kayla (Robertson) Cook a beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed from this life in Denison, Texas on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the age of 51 years 8 months and 15 days. She was born in Amarillo, Texas on Tuesday, February 18, 1964 to Tommy and Billie (Mott) Robertson. Kayla married Jim Cook in Durant, Oklahoma on July 17, 2010.
Kayla was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma. She enjoyed many things; collecting her cherished Teddy Bears, cookie jars and traveling, but she especially liked her dogs and cared about all animals. Kayla loved spending time with and spoiling her eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband, Jim Cook of the home; daughters, Amanda Ross and husband Rex of Edmond, Oklahoma and Chelsi Mullens and husband Brandon of Mead, Oklahoma; step-children, James Cook III and wife Anne of Fairfield, California and Mary Ford and husband Edward of Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Austin Ross of Edmond, Oklahoma, Liam Ross of Edmond, Oklahoma, Paisley Mullens of Mead, Oklahoma, Robert Cook of Fairfield, California, Christopher Cook of Fairfield, California, William Ford of Tinker Air Force Base, Felicity Ford of Tinker Air Force Base and Jordan Cook Corpus Christi, Texas; mother, Billie Robertson of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Kendell Robertson and wife Amanda of Denton, Texas; nephew, Tommy Robertson of Denton, Texas.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Robertson.
Family and friends will be received at Billie's home at 5610 Benjamin in Durant from 6-8:00 PM Friday, November 6, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Calvary Baptist in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Darel Bunch officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Pena, Scott Robinson, Jeremy Rowland, David Hayes, Lance Luke and Michael Stout.
