Sandy (Hart) Converse a beloved family member and resident of Utica, Oklahoma passed into the arms of her Savior in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the age of 54 years and 30 days. She was born to Marshal A. and Tivola Mae (Whitley) Hart on Saturday, July 23, 1960 in Durant, Oklahoma. Sandy Hart married Frank Converse in Durant, Oklahoma on Saturday, August 8, 1981.
Sandy worked for the Clay Eye Clinic in Durant as a Optometric Assistant. She was a member of the Utica Baptist Church. Sandy enjoyed making delicious meal for her family. But most of all Sandy loved her family and playing with her precious grandchildren.
Mrs. Converse is survived by her husband, Frank Converse of Utica, Oklahoma; sons, Eric Converse and wife Amanda of Blue, Oklahoma, Todd Converse and wife Katy of Utica, Oklahoma and Matt Converse of the home Utica, Oklahoma; daughters, Toni Converse of Utica, Oklahoma and Macy Converse of the home Utica, Oklahoma; sisters, Jean Conner and husband George of Allen, Texas, Barbara Pickett and husband James of Utica, Oklahoma and Debrah Stark and husband David of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Bubby Hart and wife Sheri of Utica, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Bonnita Hart of Blue, Oklahoma; 7- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Converse was preceded in death by her parents, Marshal and (Tots) Hart; brother, Sonny Hart.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 7-8:00 PM Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Service to celebrate her life will be held at, 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the Utica Baptist Church with Bro. Jay Perry and Dr. Greg Clay officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Brian Hart, Allen Edwards, Doug Stark,Billy Hobart, Steve Pickett and Mike Pickett.
