December 5, 1939 ~ March 4, 2025

Frank Charles Converse, a cherished family patriarch, and respected community member, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, in Paris, Texas, at the age of 85. Born on December 5, 1939, in Paterson, New Jersey, he lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to his family, and a fulfilling career.

Frank's early years in New Jersey laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and strong values. He embarked on a notable career in the casino industry, where he became the Director of Security. His integrity and leadership were hallmarks of his professional life, earning him the admiration and trust of his colleagues.

Throughout his life, Frank's passions were as varied as they were heartfelt. He was an avid collector of law enforcement badges, a hobby that reflected his respect for the rule of law and those who enforce it. He was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers, looking forward to every ballgame so he could cheer them on. Frank was also an enthusiastic fisherman, finding peace in the quiet moments by the water, and joy in the thrill of the catch.

However, it was Frank's role as a family man that truly defined him. He is survived by a loving and extensive family, including his sons, Frank Converse, Jr., and Mike Converse and his wife Tonya. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Eric Converse and wife Telisa, Todd Converse and wife Katy, Toni Harris and husband Zack, Matthew Converse and wife Emily, Macy Converse and fiance' Tytus West, Collin Converse and wife Sara, Colton Converse and wife Haleigh, and Darci Converse. Frank was also a doting great-grandfather to Ava Converse, Jaycee Grady, Brayden Snyder, Kylan Shelton, Ellie Converse, Hayden Curley, Addisen Curley, Layla Harris, Mason Converse, Kope West, Aidan Converse, Bella Converse, Ollie Converse, Otto Converse, Orrie Converse, Pheonix Ophelia, and Lenny Rocket. His love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was boundless, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn Converse, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship. He was also predeceased by his son Kenny Converse, daughter-in-law Sandy Converse, and his parents, George F. and Marie (Steed) Converse.

His funeral service is set for 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2025, in the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Mayfield, Tony Thomas, and Louis Bolding officiating. Frank will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery following his funeral service.

Eric Converse, Todd Converse, Matthew Converse, Zack Harris, Tytus West, Collin Converse, and Colton Converse will serve as Frank's pallbearers.

Services are under the care of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, 121 North 5th Avenue, Durant, Oklahoma 74701. www.holmescoffeymurray.com
