Juanita Clouse, a past resident of Durant, Oklahoma, joined her Savior on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the age of 97. She was born on February 27, 1920 in Hugo, Oklahoma to James and Angie (England) Choat. Juanita married Russell Clouse in Hugo, Oklahoma in March of 1938.
Juanita lovingly dedicated her life to caring for her home, and family. She shared the Word of God to many over the years as a Sunday School Teacher at the East Side Presbyterian Church in Durant. Juanita enjoyed working with her hands sewing, creating beautiful quilts, making ceramics, taking care of her flowers, and watching birds. She loved to get in the car enjoy a road trip.
Mrs. Clouse is survived by her son, Joe Allen Clouse and wife Thelma of Ardmore, Oklahoma; daughter, Shirley Green and husband James of Hawkins, Texas; grandchildren, Jimmy Green and wife Audrey of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Julie Ann Chappa and husband Chris of Hawkins, Texas, Jennifer Fitzgerald of Colbert, Oklahoma, and Corey Clouse and wife Stephanie of Colbert, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Andy Green of College Station, Texas, Korah Howe and husband Devin of Colbert, Oklahoma, Emalee Chappa of Hawkins, Texas, Karsyn Clouse of Colbert, Oklahoma, and Averie Clouse of Colbert, Oklahoma; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Smith and her husband Dennis of Colbert, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Clouse was preceded in death by her parents, James and Angie Choat; husband, Russell Clouse; son, Russell Ed Clouse: and grandson, Rusty Clouse.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday October 24th at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion in Durant with Rev. Jack Wayne Blount officiating.
