Linda Louise Taylor Casteel

Linda Louise Casteel was born on March 7, 1937 in Caney, Oklahoma to Aurthur "Jack" Taylor and Edna Miller Taylor and passed from this life on March 25, 2013 at her home at the age of 76.

Louise married Paul Casteel on September 25, 1964 in Durant, Oklahoma. She has been a lifelong resident of Bryan County and she worked beside her husband in the family business until their retirement. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, sewing and spending time with family and friends.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Edna Taylor; daughter, Linda Casteel and brothers, Bill and Hubert Taylor.

Louise is survived by her husband of 48 plus years, Paul Casteel of the home; children, Larry Casteel and wife Tonya of Midwest City, OK, Paula Zeiter and husband Nick of Dallas, TX, Carmen Spouse and husband Billy of Durant, OK and Shana Fikes and husband John of Calera, OK; grandchildren, Debbie Tufts and husband Russell, John Casteel and wife Megan, Antonia Norwood and husband Jason, Larry Casteel Jr., Dusti Brigman, Chelsea Carr, Alex Carr and Matthew Fikes; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Carroll Taylor of Wade, OK and Junior Taylor and wife Elaine of Caddo, OK and sisters, Glenda Granger of Atoka, OK and Neoma Davis and husband Benny of Caddo, OK.

A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. Alvie Thornton will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Billy Sprouse, Nick Zeiter, John Fikes, Alex Carr, Jerryk Williams and Matthew Fikes serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
