Ollie Mae Sullivan Campbell went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at her residence, The Katy House Assisted Living in Denison, Texas. Ollie Mae was born July 23, 1918 in Yuba, Oklahoma to Dewey and Julia (Perkins) Tarkington. She passed away at the age of 95 years 4 months and 30 days. She married Fred B. Sullivan on March 12, 1934. To this union was born, a daughter, Peggy, she and her husband Bob Norman now reside in Denison, Texas; also a son, Freddie Sullivan who passed from this life in 1977. Ollie was also preceded in death by Fred on December 24, 1975. In 1981 she married Orvis O. Campbell. Mr. Campbell passed away in 2001.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. She spent all of her life in Bryan County where she was active in Extension Homemakers work for over 55 years. She and Mr. Campbell spent a lot of time doing Senior Citizen activities during her time with him. Mae enjoyed her family and was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Campbell is survived by her daughter, Peggy Norman and husband Bob; grandchildren, Dr. Stan Norman and wife Joy of Shawnee, Oklahoma and their three sons, Andrew, Daniel and Stephen, and Alicia Orians and husband Steve of Dallas, Texas and their daughter Avery Wiktor and Scott Norman and children, Caleb, Emily and Seth of Denison, Texas.
Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Julia Tarkington; husbands, Fred B. and Orvis O. Campbell; son, Freddie Sullivan.
A Funeral Service in honor of her memory will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Fairview Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro Bill Ledbetter and Dr. Stan Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Norman, Stephen Norman, Caleb Norman, Seth Norman, Bryan Sullivan and Randy Sullivan.
