Mable E. Campbell passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 in Rockwell, Texas at the age of 95 years and 7 months. She was born to Tom and Roxy (Milner) Salisbury on Thursday, April 27, 1916 in Belleville, Kansas. Mable married her sweetheart James C. Campbell on Friday, December 25, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas.
Mable achieved a Bachelors Degree from Southeastern University in 1964. Her chosen profession was teaching and she taught for 27 years. Mable retired from Fox, Oklahoma and was a member of the Methodist Church. Her hobbies were quilting, reading, crafts and cooking and she always enjoyed a chance to cook fried chicken and fudge for her family.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her daughter, Mary Campbell of Colbert, Oklahoma; sons, A.B. Campbell of North Charleston, South Carolina and Choya Campbell of Rockwall, Texas; sisters, Irene Smart of Osage City, Kansas, Velma R. Bulvin of Basin, Wyoming, Betty Bachelor of Carbondale, Kansas and Dorothy Sherwood of Iola, Kansas; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Roxy Salisbury; husband, James C. Campbell. Family Hour will be 7-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Chapel with Father James Blagg officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen LaFlamme, Sean McMasters and Jonathan Campbell.
