Sandra F. Burns, a resident of Durant, Oklahoma, passed away in Denison, Texas on December 2, 2017, at the age of 75. She was born on June 9, 1942 in Durant, Oklahoma to David and Marie (Clifton) Quarles. Sandra married Ronnie Burns in Blue, Oklahoma on August 17, 1963.
Sandra was a dedicated servant of her Lord Jesus Christ and enjoyed being a Bible teacher at the Blue Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper for Bryan County. Sandra enjoyed sewing, and reading her bible or a good book.
Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband, Ronnie Burns of the home; daughter, Robin Anderson and husband Mike of Tolar, Texas; grandchildren, Ford Anderson of Stephenville, Texas, Bailey Hayes and husband Garrett of Mead, Oklahoma, and Reilly Kaye Anderson of Tolar, Texas; sisters, Linda Quarles of Durant, Oklahoma, and Sherry Graham of Durant, Oklahoma; niece, Casey Brown and husband Brian of Mansfield, Texas and their children Camilla and Caroline; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her parents, David and Marie Quarles; and mother-in-law, Velma Burns.
Family Hour will be one hour before the service from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM on Monday December 4th at the Blue Baptist Church in Blue, Oklahoma. The service will begin at 2:00 PM with Bro. Charles William, and Bro. Dale Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Durant, the pallbearers will be Butch Williams, Freddy Eades, Jerry D. Brown, Jerry L. Brown, Kenneth Jones, and Kent Springer.
