Betty Ann Buchanan, 66 of Caddo, OK passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Durant, OK. She was born on September 1, 1952 in Pauls Valley, OK to Thomas Murriel and Edna Bell (Youngblood) Stark.
Betty attended school here in Durant, OK. She later met and married Carl Patrick Buchanan on June 18, 2005 in Durant, OK. She worked for Big 5 transportation for 12 years and a Choctaw Tribal Transit Driver for two years. Betty was a member of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church. She loved going to church, horseback riding, camping with her family, and loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
Betty is preceded in death by her mother Edna Stark, father Thomas Stark, grandmother Lela Sims, grandmother Lois Start, and grandfather Claud Stark.
Betty is survived by her husband Carl Buchanan of the home, daughters; Christy Davidson of Durant, OK, Paula Fox and husband David of Durant, OK, Ciara Buchanan of Caddo, OK, Kendra Buchanan of Caddo, OK, Pam Fivella of Washington, Brenda Hall of Florida, Susan Buchanan of Arizona, Diana Verso of Arizona, and Neeice Brown and husband Tasso of Springer, OK, sons; Matthew Buchanan, Blake Buchanan, and David Buchanan, all of Caddo, OK, and Carl Buchanan and wife Mariam of California, 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother in laws Willie Buchanan and wife Betty of Moore, OK and John Buchanan and wife Barbara of Durant, OK, sister in law Regina Boucher of Caddo, OK, and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Bro Grady Ford will be officiating with interment at Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Boucher, Jose Omar Espericueta, Justin Wells, David Buchanan, David Fox, and Mike Price. Family Hour will be Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6-8:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service. Condolences can be sent to www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
