Debra "Debby" Jean Hancher Boyd

Debra Jean Boyd of Bokchito, entered her Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the age of 58. She was born on May 22, 1960 to Damon Matheny and Jean (Eaton) Hancher in Casa Grande, Arizona.

Debby graduated from Fairborn High School in Ohio. She has been a longtime resident of Bryan County and married the love of her life on February 14, 1987 in Calera. The couple spent over 32 years together. Debby worked as a loan officer and has been employed with First United Bank in Calera for 34 years. She was a member of Victory Life Church in Durant. When Debby wasn’t working, she loved flipping houses, doing carpentry, junkin’ and spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death is her daughter, Cedar Flowers; stepfather, Fred Hancher, and grandparents Gertrude and Willie Eaton.

Loved ones left to cherish Debby’s memory include her loving husband, Allan Boyd; daughter, Jennifer Davis and husband Matt; son, Jason Boyd and wife Marsha; daughter, Taylor Andrews and husband Jarren; six grandchildren Makensie Boyd, Mason Davis, Kayleigh Harwood, Tylar Harwood, Raelee Andrews, Case Bussey, Kelsey Hokett and fiancé Hunter Jamison; parents, Damon Matheny and Jean Hancher; brother; Bryan Matheny; sister, Tamela Collins, numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends.

Services to celebrate Debby’s life will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Victory Life Church in Durant with Pastors Lee Armstrong and Tim MacEntire officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Jake Boyd, Josh Redwine, Bart Russell, Daryl Mulkey, Ronny Ford and Matt Satterfield serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Boyd, Jarren Andrews, Matt Davis, and Mindy Gerard. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
