Betty Joyce Bourne, a resident of Four Seasons Nursing Home in Durant, Oklahoma, passed away to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the age of 79 years 7 months and 23 days. She was born in Pirtle, Oklahoma to Benjamin Franklin and Lola Alice (Lance) Bourne on Tuesday, January 31, 1933. Betty was a member of the Calvary First Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma and lived in Southeastern Oklahoma her whole life.
She loved going to the Dairy Queen with her Special Friend Billie Hurst. Betty also enjoyed going to Sherrer's to eat and visit with people.
Ms. Bourne is survived by her sisters, Juanita Blackburn of Paris, Texas and Bernice Blain of Colbert, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Ms. Bourne was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Lola Bourne; step-father, W.C. Blackburn; six brothers and their wives; one sister.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Highland Cemetery with Rev. Darel Bunch and Glendel Rushing officiating.
