Loanie Alpheus Shelnutt Boston

February 13, 1930 ~ February 12, 2022

Loanie Alpheus Boston, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, joined her Savior on February 12, 2022, at the age of 91. She was the daughter of Homer Lee Shelnutt and Burtie Mae Aurealia (Cook) Shelnutt Boston on February 16, 1931, in Clyde, TX. Loanie married Billie Carl Boston in Wichita Falls, TX on February 22, 1951.

Loanie was a Godly woman who loved caring for her family and home. She always had a garden that produced a bounty of vegetables for her to feed her family, neighbor, birds, and give away. Loanie was an active member of the Bushnell Baptist Church, and she always found a way to serve her community. She always found time to relax while sewing at her sewing machine.

Mrs. Boston is survived by her; children, Gerald Boston and Peggy Clark; daughter-in-law, Janet Boston; grandchildren, Amber Owens, Kenna Wingfield, Jason Boston, Tressa Lawerence, Larisa Boston, Yesha Clark, Charity Clark, Elisha Clark, Beth-Birey Russell, Grace Arvalos, and Zephaniah Clark; along with 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Boston was preceded in death by; father, Homer Lee; mother, Burtie; husband, Billie; brothers, Alvin, Winford, and Marvin; sisters, Thelma and Lenora; and son, Kenneth.

A graveside service was held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday February 16th at the Highland Cemetery with Virgie Holbrook officiating.

The pallbearers were Jason Boston, Zephaniah Clark, Yesha Clark, Elisha Clark, Tressa Lawerence, and Kaye Rhodes. Her honorary pallbearers were Hunter, Kamden, Payton, Aiden, and Jason.

Memorials in Loanie's name maybe made to the Pearly White Gates Educational Foundation, 915 North 2nd Avenue, Durant, Oklahoma or the Bushnell Baptist Church, 402 East Main Street, Calera, OK 74730.
