Donald Ray Blankenship was born September 10, 1938, in Decatur AL, the 3rd of 8 children. He was welcomed home on September 7, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son Ronen David Blankenship, wife Cindy of Decatur AL; one daughter, Donnalla Miller, husband Chris of Durant; two sisters Nell Roberts, husband Charles of Decatur AL; Wanda Cagle of Decatur AL; one brother, Joe Blankenship of McDonough GA; four grandchildren, Jon Houston Christian (preceded in death); Jonell Ellis, husband Drew of Durant; Jada Blankenship of Madison AL; Anna Chickaway, husband Isaiah of Decatur AL; three great grandchildren, Jace and Donavan Ellis, Isaiah Chickaway and many nieces and nephews. He was a long-time member of Victory Life Church and served in the prison ministry, the Brotherhood, the Food Bank and as a care pastor. Pall bearers will be Chris Miller, Scott Martin, Weston Miller, Jim May, Kregg Matson and Melvin Gale. Officiating, Pastor Lee Armstrong.

Family visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 6:30 pm on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Victory Life Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Pastor Lee Armstrong officiating. Donald will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery following the funeral service.
