Billy Bob Berry

Billy Bob Berry a follower of Jesus and resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this earthly life and joined his Savior on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the age of 62. He was born on October 8, 1953 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Wilburn and Hermione (Perry) Berry. Billy Bob married Joanne Bruce in Hugo, Oklahoma on June 16, 1973, he left this life on their wedding anniversary after 43 years of marriage.

Billy Bob loved the Lord and never missed a chance to share the Word with others. He worked as an EMT and ambulance driver but also managed the Kwik Check in Calera and Durant. Billy Bob like to hunt, the quiet solitude of fishing and taking pictures. He loved his family, but especially enjoyed the time he spent with his beloved grandchildren.

Mr. Berry is survived by his wife, Joanne (Bruce) Berry of Durant, Oklahoma; daughters, Jennifer Nelson and husband Todd of Durant, Oklahoma, Emily Dunlap of Caddo, Oklahoma and Kimberly Berry of Durant, Oklahoma; son, Caleb Berry and wife Nicole of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Michael Berry and wife Kelis of Antlers, Oklahoma; sister, Wynonia Winn and husband Bill of Claremore, Oklahoma; along with eleven grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Hermione Berry; and granddaughter, Rowan Berry.

Family Hour will be from 6-7:00 PM Monday, June 20th at Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 21at the Abundant Life Texoma in Durant with Pastor Jim Zenger officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Bryan, Keith Shipman, Dr. Berry Winn, Gordon Bruce, Todd Nelson, and Robert Bruce. Honorary pallbearer will be Caleb Berry and Michael Berry.
