Fannie Mae (Harris) Adams a resident of Colbert, Oklahoma passed away at the Southern Pointe Living Center in Colbert, Oklahoma on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the age of 84 years 5 months and 22 days. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma on August 18, 1929 to Marcus (Babe) and Bertha Viola (Reasor) Harris.
Fannie worked for Ideal Cleaners and Fashion Cleaners. She was a member of the Stone Creek Baptist Church. Fannie loved to work with her hands making beautiful quilts, and she also enjoyed collecting dolls.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her sister, Treda Fae Furness of Lawton, Oklahoma; brother, John Marcus Harris of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Donel Alvin Harris of Durant, Oklahoma; sister, Lovatta Jane Jones of Clifton, Texas; sister, Lovetta June Wright of Deming, New Mexico; brother, Larry Michael Harris of Durant, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Bertha Harris; sister, Goldie Elrena Waldrop; brother, Luther Ray Harris; husbands, Morgan Adams, Earnest Taylor and Chester Mayhan.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Highland Cemetery in Durant.
