John Wayne Wisdom, 75 of Durant, OK passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in Plano, TX. He was born on January 29, 1940 in Caddo, OK to John L. and Bessie Lindsey Wisdom.

He married the love of his life, Norma Sue Norman, on August 29, 1959 in Durant, OK. They spent many years in Dallas, TX before moving back to Durant in 2007. They became members of Streetman Road Baptist Church, and he owned his own roofing business. John loved football and spending time with his family.

John is preceded in death by his parents.

John is survived by his wife, Sue of the home, son John Craig Wisdom of Durant, OK, grandsons; John Austin Wisdom of Durant, OK and Jagger Saxton of Houston, TX, sister Doris Jane Arp and husband Dewell of Durant, OK, nephew Todd Kinney and wife Shirley of Durant, daughter in law Tammy Saxton of Texarkana, TX and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Dr. Darren Wallace will be officiating with interment at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, OK. Family hour will be Friday, September 25, 2015 from 6-8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Joey Davault, Paul Davault, Todd Kinney, Scott Pratt, E.J. Grant, and Jasper Gibson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jagger Saxton and Jeff Gibson.
