Franklin Delano "Hank" Turner

Franklin Delano “Hank” Turner entered the Gates of Heaven on January 31, 2018 at the age of 85. Franklin was born on December 23, 1932 in Colbert, OK to Elby and Lucille (Hamilton) Turner.

After graduating high school, Hank proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was Honorably Discharged on April 21, 1955. He married the love of his life, Mary Lou Calhoun on April 7, 1958 in Caddo, OK. They began their journey together raising their family and educating young people for Denison Public Schools until his retirement after 30 years of teaching. They retired back home to Caddo and enjoyed many years together until Mary Lou’s passing on December 29, 2013. He was a member of the Stone Creek Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing and camping. Most of all, he loved and treasured his family.

Hank was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Lou Turner; son, Paul Douglas Turner; sister, Mildred Hash and brothers, Elby and Clipper Turner.

Loved ones left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Lisa Adair and husband James and Donna Huggins and husband Ricky; daughter in law, Kelli Turner; sister, Pat Morway and husband Larry; eight grandchildren, Blake, Danielle, Hillarie, Harmonie, Graceon, Cody, Cortni and Cassidy; great grandson, Cooper and one on the way.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Royce Couch officiating. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery with James Adair, Ricky Huggins, Blake Huggins, Cody Turner, Graceon Huggins, Taylor Pope and Ryan Lairamore serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Medler. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
