Nelda Kay Tigert, age 80, a Caney, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, December 1, 1943, to Alvie and Wilma Bea (Arp) Richardson, at Bentley, OK. Nelda passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Durant, OK. She graduated from Caney High School with the class of 1962. Nelda was a Teacher's Aid for Coleman Schools. She married Carroll Ray Tigert on Saturday, November 30th, 1963 at Caney First Baptist Church. Nelda was a member of Caney First Baptist Church. She loved watching her grandchildren play basketball and she never missed a Nascar race!
She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Todd Tigert and wife Kim of Lindsay, OK, Chad Wesley Tigert and wife Tiffany of Mocksville, NC; daughter, CeDana Carroll Lanig and husband Jason of Caney, OK; grandchildren, Elijah Sexton, Jeffrey Brooks Tigert, Blakely Anne Tigert, Danica Paisley Lanig, Bristol Kay Lanig; brothers, Danny Richardson of Caney, OK, Roger Richardson and wife Ann of Caney, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dearly loved friends.
Nelda was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Ray Tigert; parents, Alvie and Wilma Bea (Arp) Richardson ******************************************************************************
